At this point I am just trying to get my adapted app to function like it was prior to adapting on the desktop.

FiC is not going to support OLE controls other than the ones they provide classes for. Descrbe what you wish to do and maybe I can help.
With wAddObject I get a "Insert control" prompt with a list of OLE controls to choose from.
