I've always felt the docs on using CONSOLE.EXE to create a site not under the default web site were skimpy. The web sites I've done have been set up as standalone sites. Unfortunately, it seems that what you have to do is create the site manually in as basic a way as possible and then run CONSOLE.EXE and select the site using the Advanced IIS Site Selection link (or just do a total manual setup). Are there any docs on the best way to go about this? Perhaps I'm just not finding them.I'd like to run the site on my dev machine the same way that it will run on the client's server. I've usually gotten this to work, but would love it if CONSOLE.EXE could create the site instead of only being able to select from sites already created. Also, some docs on this would be good since I've sometimes wondered if the site setup problems I've encountered were related to the way I go about getting this to work.
Thanks,
