Unless mail gets quarantined somewhere there's no reason for one email service to take longer than another. Emails are submitted to a mail server immediately so the email goes out immediately. What happens on the other end depends on what the ISP does with it.
To send emails you're using SMTP or ESMTP (if you're using username and password) not Pop3.
Hi Rick,
Thanks very much for all the help and support you've provided as I integrated WW Client Tools into my application.
Everything is working but I have one last request for help.
Often, when I send messages through WW Client Tools, it takes days for the email to arrive (once it took 2 weeks). When I send messages through Outlook Express, they generally arrive immediately. My ISP is Earthlink.
I will call Earthlink and ask them why it takes so long for emails that are sent through WW to arrive. I am sure they will ask something like "what technology is used in WW to send the emails?". All I know is that you are writing to a POP 3 server. Is there anything else you can tell me that I can tell them?
If I get an answer, I will let you know in case other users of WW CT have the same question.
Thanks, Chaim
