I would probably download .NET 4.5 at this point not 2.0. 2.0 code runs on 4.5 so this is the way to go.

Hi Rick,
I want to send email using SMTP/Dot Net (nMailMode = 0).
I used IsDotnet to find out if .NET 2.0 Runtime is installed. It is not.
Does Microsoft provide a download that will permit me me to install .Net 2.0 Runtime on my machine? (I am running Win/2K SP4).

PS Questions about how to use your message board:
1. when I get to the message board by entering this URL to my browser: http://www.west-wind.com/wwThreads
I select the forum but no messages come up: I get the message "No messages posted since " (today's date). How can I see messages that were posted in the past? If I use the Search function, it requires a search string or an author, but how can I see all the messages that were posted in, say, the last month without knowing their subjects or authors?
2. is it possible to reply to an existing message? If so, how?
