Hi,

I just had a really wierd situation arise. One of our internal applications (written in VFP and using .DBF files) just had it's .DBF files overwritten with a copy from 20th December 2012.

I have no idea where the files came from or even how they got overwritten because there were various people actively using the application (which holds all the .DBFs open whilst in use).

My initial question is:
Is anyone aware of a way to overwrite a DBF file and it's associated CDX file whilst it is open in a VFP application?

Apart from that, is there anything anyone is aware of that may be specifc to 20th December last year? Server wise, VFP wise, anything?? I know I'm clutching at straws but at the moment am drawing a complete blank on this...

Any help would be very much appeciated.

TIA
