Hi, I am a new user of WWIP. Actually, I am now upgrading to 5.66 from 4.x.
All I want to do is send and read email.
I am trying to figure out how to proceed and I have many questions:
1. I am unclear about wwSMTP.nMailMode = 2 and 0. I understand that mode 0 requires .Net and mode 2 does not. I am leaning toward using mode 2 in order to avoid the requirement to have .Net 2.0 installed.
2. What criteria should I use when deciding whether to use SMTP (Mode 0) or wwIPStuff (Mode 2)?
3. If I decide to use Mode 0, how can I find out if .Net is installed on my machine and what version it is? Is there any way to do this under program control (VFP 9.1)?
4. I can't find any step by step instructions for sending email using nMailMode = 0 or 2 in the CHM help file. Can you point me to these? I have been looking around in the documentation for an hour and can't find what I need.
5. Is there a property in wwIPStuff.dll that holds the version number? If not, is there any way to find the version number of the dll under program control (VFP 9.1)?
