Thanks Mike ... I checked made sure that the variable was identical ... save that of the first character. I did get it to work and the issue was I was placing the variables in the wrong class. I found that the proper location for adding addtional information is in the cwwebMAIN program under the class "DEFINE CLASS CwwebConfig AS wwServerConfig" Viola it worked... The confusion there is that there is a class by the name of

DEFINE CLASS myprocessConfig as wwConfig

Where there is a cdatapath as a property but apparently it was not loading from the ini file. I assumed this would load the variable here. Must be something Rick's got reserved for something else. In any event .... Onward and upward!

Thanks for your help.

Roy -

All settings in the INI file must match a property in your config object. See the help documentation for the wwConfig class, where it details how you would add new properties.

Inside the cwweb.ini is the follwing: I added that last line of 'datapath' This doesn't see to load and I'm unsure as to how to get it to read. Or is there a better way to provide global reference to a datapath, other than hard coding it? I'm simply just trying to get the tables open and want to make this variable as portable as possible. Thanks in advance
