You can host a web site on a home PC - you of course need IIS or other http service, but it's fairly trivial to set up. (Most of us do so so we can test our apps against localhost during development.) The issue with the way you want to use it becomes one of security. You would need to open your home router's firewall to expose your PC to the public - which of course opens you up to attacks from the outside.
Also, you need to make sure that your service provider is assigning you a static IP, and then either have a domain name that's registered with that IP in a DNS entry, or just reference your site via the IP number.

Can a home PC communicate to an iPad (for example) like a server?
I do not know how to "open" to the web a site managed from Web Connection on a home PC.

Just return some JSON from the fox server to jQuery Mobile. Not only works on iPads & iPhones but Android and others as well (why limit yourself?).

I know with Web Connection I can develop a web application compatible for iPad.
Several people have a home PC and an iPad and they would like to use their web application with their iPad when they are out of home.
Please, is it possible to make a little server with a home PC, in order to share a Web Connection application through web?
