Never did really resolve this.
I created a new project called WestWind and copied all of the files from the WConnect virtual to the WestWind virtual and I can now view the demos. I haven't looked at everything yet but so far so good.

If you're not elevating to an Admin none of the configuration would have worked.
Before you install Web Connection you should make sure that static files work. If that doesn't work - it's unlikely that any of the Web Connection stuff works as well.
If you still can't get this to work, ping me ( http://west-wind.com/contact.aspx )and maybe we can do a TeamViewer session. I'm curious what could cause this to happen.

The only thing I can think of is that, when I ran SETUP.EXE in the wconnect folder, UAC was turned on. I selected "Run as Administrator" when I ran SETUP.EXE.
I have since turned UAC off and created a new project and it's working OK. Hello World comes up OK.
So, should I now run SETUP again with UAC off? If so, is it a simple matter of deleting the West Wind Application Pool, the WCONNECT Virtual and the C:\wconnect folder and re-running SETUP? Anything else I should know before I try this?
