If your COM servers are set to Interactive User (which is the compile default) they will be visible even in COM mode.

+++ Rick ---

I had clicked on the COM MODE link to switch the application to com mode, but then when I loaded the servers, the file-based mode was started, not the com mode (i.e. the monitor window opened up, instead of the EXE just loading invisibly).

What do you mean by 'opened up two times'?

If you have two instances configured you should see two instances pop up (or run invisibly depending on your configuration).

I went ahead and deleted the tags, and the site comes up. However, I switched to COM mode on the Admin page, and fired it up, and it opened up two times in file-based mode (I have 2 servers specified in my INI file). It's been a long time since I've configured manually; did I miss a step? I thought clicking the "COM Mode" link was all there was to it.

Thanks!

Thanks Rick. I found it in this section:

<!-- IIS 7 Script Map Configuration -->
<system.webServer>
<modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true">
<add name="ScriptCompressionModule" type="Westwind.Web.ScriptCompressionModule,Westwind.Web" />
</modules>
<validation validateIntegratedModeConfiguration="false" />

Should I remove or modify that <modules> element?

Thanks,
Kirk

Take a look at your web.config file and search for Westwind.Web. Most likely there's a reference to a handler or module for Westwind.Web. Not sure where this would come from in your FoxPro application.

Hello. I've been trying to get an app up and running on a new Windows 2008 Server box but am having trouble. I've run the management console several times, as directed, and I've gone through the manual process.

My latest error is:

"Could not load file or assembly 'Westwind.Web' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

I get this when I navigate to the site itself, or to the admin folder of the site.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
