I posted message X. I deleted message X. I posted message Y. I refreshed and saw message Y. I came back 30 minutes later and refreshed and message X was there, the original deleted message, and not message Y. Message Y was long and full of code so I was hoping to not have to recreate it.
both messages had the same subject line.
When I came back and was viewing the message X - which should have been Y - the edit, delete and reply buttons were not visible. It felt as if there was some hiccup in what was deleted or not. Even now if I go the message X I cannot edit despite being the original poster. I also cannot even reply.
Not sure based on your description. I don't really understand what you're asking here? You deleted a post and messages started going to thread to the dead post? Not sure how that's possible unless you replied to the dead post before it was dead, then posted the message which will create a new thread.
