Fortunately the process ran flawlessly on my production server so I'm out of the woods on that part. I'll mess around here locally where I had the issue earlier today and see what I can find. I thought I had already added the IIS 6 metabase stuff (thinking along the lines you suggested) but I've obviously missed something as it's still not working. :)

I think you need the IIS 6 Metabase compatability for this to work. In general you should install the IIS 6 compatability stuff as it's needed for a lot of configuration of various applications (including Visual Studio).

Hi Folks,
General question for something I just bumped into.
Issuing "IISRESET /REBOOT" on either a Windows 7 Enterprise or Professional box from the command window (running as Administrator) yields the following on both.
'Attempting reboot...
Reboot attempt failed.
Not implemented (2147500033, 80004001)'
This appears to be a missing component or one that has not been enabled. After looking around on this site and Google I was unable to locate anything definitive.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
best,
DD
